The wine is deep burgundy color in the glass, with bright red undertones. The nose is expressive and refined, with black plum, malted chocolate, graphite, and the spiciness of toasted French oak – nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. In the mouth, the wine is densely textured, with volatile, rich flavors of ripe black cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate and freshly ground espresso. The finish is lengthy and perfumed with the smoke of sweetly charred French oak.

…A classy, complex blend with blue, red and black fruits, a hint of charcoal and background oak, plenty of spice, medium to full body, but well-integrated acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood… it is a beauty that can be approached now or cellared for another 15 or more years.
