(96 Points) -- (Jeb Dunnuck)
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder checks in as a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot that spent 30 months in 65% new French oak. It’s a backward, concentrated, full-bodied bruiser of a wine that has loads of blackcurrants, sagebrush, graphite, and lead pencil-like aromas and flavors. Deep, rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, it needs 4-5 years of cellaring and is a 30-year wine. (96+) (JD) Reviewed January 2019
