2010 Chalk Hill Estate Red Proprietary Blend, Chalk Hill, USA

A blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 15% Malbec, 12% Petit Verdot, 10% Syrah and 1% Carménère. Dark purple color with an array of dark currant and dark cherry fruit with notes of tobacco spice, espresso, dark chocolate and fresh plowed black earth a very complex bouquet of aromas lifting from the glass. Dense and rich fruit on the tongue with a host of damp black earth, dark coco and tobacco spice through the finish along with dark coco notes, very complex and layered with some dry tannins at the finish but has lots of everything just needs a bit of time.
