2009 La Jota Vineyard Cabernet Franc Howell Mountain

This wine has a bit of Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc in the blend from a cooler vintage very classic, this winery was purchased in 2004 and Chris Carpenter is making the wind, a good hand of dark currant and dark cherry liquer like fruit with aromas of fresh earth, a fairly strong mineral component with dark chocolate notes. Nice structure on the tongue with dense rich black currant and cassis berry fruit, a good hand of fresh earth and a long finish, dark chocolate. Finish 50+ Most Excellent
