The second label of Lassègue was launched in 2008. Its name is inspired by the sundials which adorn the façade of the Château as symbols of the extraordinary sun exposure of the Estate. Aged in 30%- 40% new French oak for 6-8 months, the wine, primarily a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, is refined and elegant, a beautiful and perfect expression of its fruit.
The 2023 Cadrans de Lassegue boasts a magnificent, intense, and brilliant ruby color. On the nose, aromas of black fruit like blackberry and black currant are immediately apparent, with a lovely freshness that evolves into subtle notes of violet and spice. The palate is vibrant, fruity, and balanced. With tannins already well-integrated, the long, mineral finish testifies to the quality of the clay-gravel-siliceous soils of their vineyards.
Blend: 74% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon
