This comes from a single parcel of vines planted in 1962. The old vines give extra concentration to the already rich wine. It also shows considerable high-toast wood-aging flavors that need to soften into the black-currant fruits. It is aromatic, with a core of tannins from the 70% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend.
