(90 Points) Dark ruby with a garnet core. Intriguing nose combines clove, juniper berry, white pepper and iris, plus a pronounced scent of cedar. Densely textured but crisp, with flavors of blackberry, sweet tobacco and licorice. Finishes with firm, somewhat dry tannins. A fine effort, but it could use a little more focus. -Vinous Media
