"By making this wine vine known to the public, I have rendered my country as great a service as if I had enabled it to pay back the national debt."
~ Thomas Jefferson
If only a modern-day politician could contribute as much to the quality of our life as the late great Thomas Jefferson. He was one of the first advocates of wine in the United States and he is one of the reasons why we have the greatest selection of wines from all around the world in the U.S. today. So, remember...no matter how bad it gets, we still have the best selection of the world’s greatest wines at the most competitive prices in the world here in the U.S. of A.
Speaking of GREAT wines from the U.S.A…. I need a few good men or women to help me drink some really fine wine on this occasion at our vintage California wine tasting. We will be sampling some very old wines from great producers with everything on the table tonight over 20 years of age going all the way back to the 1976 vintage!!
This tasting features wines from one of the most prominent wine collectors in South Florida Dr. Robert Maliner. We have hosted hundreds of tastings with Bob’s wines over the last 25 years, but this may be the best vintage California tasting ever! With an array of vintage Cabernet Sauvignon from both Napa and Sonoma along with vintage Merlot, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Petit Syrah and Syrah on the table this will be one of the most comprehensive vintage California wine tastings in terms of different varieties.
The fee for this tasting which includes dinner is $375 + tax, for reservations call 954-523-9463 or e-mail andy@winewatch.com. Please let us know when you make your reservations if you have any food allergies or aversions and chefs Toni and Dani will be happy to accommodate you.
