1960's and 1970's Vintage Red Burgundy Tasting

"Yo . . . did you check that Boonesfarm vintage Y2K? That was dope! It was big and bright with the complexity of Kool Aid! It was jammy like a PBJ without those earthy tannins! You hear what I'm saying?"

There are so many great choices in the $20 and under section of the store today there is no reason to drink Boonesfarm!  I always say “Drink the Good Stuff First” and we’re trying to take down as many KILLER bottles as we can like the La Tache 1997 were showing at the Grand Cru Monopole tasting Saturday June 29th, the bottle costs $4000 and since we’ve had it for a few years now I think it’s time we pop a bottle to see how it tastes.   

And since were on the subject of Burgundy that week I thought instead of the 1999 vintage study of 10 year old wines we should drink some of these 1960’s and 1970’s vintage Burgundies that we have lying around.  That’s correct we have a nice stash of old wines from these two decades and they are in excellent condition so the study of 10 year old wines is now a study in 40-50 year old Burgundies and if you can’t make it I have included all the Burgundies from these two decades on this offering.
