Jason Fisher Winemaker from Liparita at Wine Watch

Liparita is a century old Ghost Winery brand whose appellation-specific Cabernets were the pioneering wines of Napa Valley. Today, we are dedicated to creating wine in the same spirit that embodied the award-winning wines produced in its thriving past. Tonight we have Jason Fisher, Wine Maker & Principal of this incarnation of Liparita, in to show us the new releases from this historic label. With extensive experience at Paradigm, Grace Family Vineyards, and Cosentino, Jason brings an artisan approach to Liparita and an eye for detail. Either years work as a “flying winemaker” in South Africa helped increase the scope of his understanding of the wine business, not to mention the range of skills. Jason brings a total passion and experience to Liparita. They make three different appellation Cabernet Sauvignons from Napa and this is a sit down tasting to show the difference that dirt makes in wine, all three from the same winemaker and vintage the only thing that separates one from another of these where the grapes are grown. This tasting is limited to 15 tasters and Wine Watch Caterings Toni Lampasone will be making a few small courses to accompany the tasting wines.
