“A bottle of wine begs to be shared; I have never met a miserly wine lover”
Charles Baudelaire
We are sharing the world’s greatest wines every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights here at the Wine Bar. Check out the Wine Watch calendar of events at www.winewatch.com to see a complete listing of wine tastings through the end of 2024.
You may have heard me saying that it is hard to beat Chile and Argentina when it comes to value but now we will see some of the most expensive wines that these two South American wine producing countries have to offer and we will take a look at a few vintage wines to see just how these top level wines age. We will be featuring some of the oldest wines from South American that we have in the store including the most expensive wine made in Argentina Nicolas Catena’s 2013 Zapata Estiba Reservada Parcela Historica Agrello Mendoza. This wine sells for close to $1000 a bottle! We will also be showing the most expensive wine in Chile 2010 Vinedo Chadwick from the Maipo Valley, this wine sells for close to $500 a bottle!
Like I said were doing very important scientific research with wines here at Wine Watch. If you can’t make the tasting and want to know how the older wines showed follow the Wine Watch Instagram TV channel for a full report on this and all the tastings we host at Wine Watch which will be posted the following day at 3:30pm EST.
This is a seated event and there are only 14 spaces available. The fee for this tasting which includes dinner is $250 per person + tax. For reservations call 954-523-9463 or e-mail andy@winewatch.com. Please let us know when you make your reservations if you have any food allergies and chefs Toni and Dani will be happy to accommodate you.
