We are just getting warmed up here with the week only half over we have one of the best wine parties of the year coming up to promote- the American Fine Wine Competition.

Thursday, March 21
AFWC Gala Promotional Tasting at Wine Watch
Â
This is one of the most important wine competitions for American wines in the USA. We have hosted a party for this event for the last few years with around 50 wines that are top medal winners in anticipation of the upcoming gala dinner on April 4th. All of the wines shown at this tasting are from the USA and this may be the only chance that you have all year to taste wines that are such limited production, they can only be tasted here at Wine Watch and at the Gala itself. See below for the list of these incredible wines. Our friend Shari Gherman, president of this 6 year old world-class competition, has chosen some of the best wines from last year’s judging.
Join us as we give you a preview into these top level wines from around the USA and what is to come at the main event where they will have over 600 different wines from around this country to taste along with a dinner featuring several of South Florida and Napa Valley’s top chefs.
During the evening, Shari has agreed to offer the $300 tickets for the Gala at a special “Wine Watch†price of $250pp. I’ve been to this event and can tell you there’s is nothing like it in Florida- and it’s well worth the ticket price. In addition to the four chefs cooking on stage, there will be more than 20 winemakers there, pouring their gold and double gold medal winning wines in recreated “Winery Tasting Rooms†during the Reception. This is a do-not-miss event. The event also raises much needed funds for charity- the Diabetes Research Institute and 4Pets Rewards. Every bottle from the competition is available at the silent auction, there are trips to wine country, New York, Africa, Portugal, and the Rhine. Some of the visiting winemakers are from: Saddleback Cellars, VIE, Promise, Robledo, Glenora, Donum Estate, Hagafen, Michael-David, Baldacci, Spring Mountain Vineyards, Aurielle, Martin Ray, A to Z, Mumm, Bruce Hilliard... and others. Â
