At Wine Watch we think that every day above ground is a special occasion that’s why we have so many “Once in Lifetime” tastings!

If you invested in first growths from 1982 you would have paid around $50 per bottle for these wines upon release.  Today, we have the 1982 Lafite Rothschild for sale on this offering at a price of $2999.00.    The 1982 vintage was one of the best investments that you could have ever made in the world of fine wine and we are drinking some great wines tonight from 1982.  As I always say- “we are doing scientific work with wine here at the Wine Watch”.  This is considered by many to be one of the greatest vintages in Bordeaux’s history and it made wine critic Robert Parker Jr. famous as he was one of the only people at that time that waxed poetic about the young wines. 

If you have these wines in your cellar today they are drinking at or near their peak and we will be opening eleven wines from the 1982 vintage tonight.  We have an amazing selection of classified growth Bordeaux on the table tonight including 5 first growths and the uber rare Chateau Lafleur from Pomerol which is selling for an average price of $7500/btl!!
