2021 Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Tuscany
Price: $30.00 Your Price: $27.00
(92 points) This red delivers purity, boasting aromas and flavors of cherry, pomegranate, earth and iron, while also staying lively, supported by a dense matrix of tannins. Balanced, with a finish of bitter almond, this needs a few years to integrate. Best from 2027 through 2042. 4,500 cases made.Eric Guido, Vinous

2021 Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva
Price: $60.00 Your Price: $54.00
The nose is balanced between wild cherries, raspberries and violets on one hand, and potting soil, licorice and fresh cracked black pepper on the other. The palate brings more of everything, as the cherries, berries, flowers and earth all drift along a stream of chocolate ganache. Acid bubbles around solid, dense tannins. — Danielle Callegari

2018 Boscarelli Costa Grande Vino Nobile DOCG
Price: $94.50 Your Price: $85.05
100% Sangiovese. Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano “Costa Grande” is deep garnet in color, showing aromas of spice, blackberries, earth, and vanilla. A full-bodied palate with structure, elegance, and flavors of cherry, coffee, and leather.
From a single vineyard located next to the winery’s historic “ Il Nocio” vineyard. The vineyard was planted in 2000.
“Boscarelli, now in its third generation, seeks to maintain its original spirit by dedicating every day to maximizing the unique character of Sangiovese.”

2021 Fonterutoli Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico DOCG Tuscany
Price: $23.50 Your Price: $21.15
(92 Points) From a vintage that delivered great results across the region, the 2021 Chianti Classico Fonterutoli is a bit darker, more powerful and concentrated than your standard entry-level Chianti Classico. Cherry and dark plum cede to pretty mineral tones. That extra intensity is part of the house style and is a little gift for those who appreciate more meat on those Sangiovese bones. In fact, that grape is blended with a small 10% part of Malvasia Nera and Colorino in this ample 290,000-bottle release hitting the market now. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

2020 Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Riserva Ser Lapo
Price: $35.00 Your Price: $31.50
(93 Points) The Mazzei 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Ser Lapo shows blackberry, blackcurrant and a savory note of toasted spice. This is a more elaborate, hot-vintage expression with extra heft and pulp. Sangiovese is blended with 10% Merlot and aged in barrel for 12 months. You can up the food-pairing possibilities with this bottle to include wild boar or stewed rabbit, thanks to the wine's generous, mid-weight texture. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

2021 Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli Philip Tuscany
Price: $45.00 Your Price: $40.50
(94 points) "Made with Cabernet Sauvignon, the Mazzei 2021 Philip is soft and richly textured with all sorts of blackberry and black fruit aromas packed inside. These come through with special intensity in this balanced vintage. The wine style is contemporary and easily accessible for an international palate. Philip Mazzei (1730–1816) was a contemporary of Thomas Jefferson, and this 40,000-bottle release is dedicated to this important family ancestor. Drink: 2024-2035. (7/25/24)" Monica Larner (Wine Advocate)

2022 Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli Concerto Toscana IGT
Price: $59.00 Your Price: $53.10
(95 Points) The Mazzei 2022 Concerto di Fonterutoli is lovely, with a dark and velvety character that holds strong over a long, polished finish. The style encapsulated here is modern classic in this celebrated blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Tuscan grape finishes in large oak casks, and the French variety ages in barrique. Production is 38,000 bottles. – ML Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, July 2024

2021 Castello di Fonterutoli Siepi Tuscany
Price: $99.00 Your Price: $89.10
(96 Points) This top-shelf wine from Mazzei is a blend of 50-50 Merlot and Sangiovese. The Sangiovese goes into tonneaux and the Merlot ages in 70% new barrique for 18 months. The 2021 Siepi (in a heavy glass bottle) opens to sweet fruit nuances of cooked cherry, blackberry preserves, cinnamon and nutmeg. This full-bodied wine is supple and very soft in terms of mouthfeel, and its flavor profile is expansive and all-encompassing. This wine is balanced and seamless, and the 2021 vintage is certainly one of the best editions of Siepi we've seen so far. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
2019 Ca Rome Rio Sordo Barbaresco
Price: $52.50 Your Price: $47.25
(93 Points) Deep aromas of black cherry and savory spice work in tandem to lure you into the glass. Notes of pressed wildflowers and drying herbs follow suit. The firm palate sits with gravitas, showing darker-hued fruits, savory spice and a well-defined earthy note. This wine is for the long haul. Drink 2028–2045. — Jeff Porter Wine Enthusiast

2019 Ca Rome Barbaresco Chiaramanti DOCG
Price: $52.50 Your Price: $47.25
(93 Points) The Ca’ Rome’ 2019 Barbaresco Chiaramanti has a slightly exotic bouquet with tangy cherry and cooked pear with cola, Indian spice and some lingering balsam herb. There is a lot to discover in terms of aromas, but ultimately, the wine is straight-shooting in terms of mouthfeel with a very direct and linear overall approach. There is a big dose of licorice or toasted aniseed at the end. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

2018 Ca Rome Maria di Brun Vineyard Rio Sordo MGA Barbaresco
Price: $52.50 Your Price: $47.25
(90 Points) This Barbaresco is subtle at first and needs some time to open, but as it does, aromas of sour cherry, fresh rose, incense, cedar and underbrush begin to develop. On the palate, notes of raspberry preserves and savory spice finishes with soft tannins, making it easier to approach today. Drink now–2035. Wine Enthusiast

2018 Ca Rome Rapet Vineyard Cerretta Barolo
Price: $52.50 Your Price: $47.25
(92 Points) Sweet, creamy cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry dance around wood, earth and spice, with a menthol lift. The palate is bold and concentrated, with good acidity to cut through the fine grained, gripping tannins. Plummy notes of black cherry, raspberry and even some blueberry, alongside forest undergrowth, wood and chocolate. (JB) Decanter, Review Date: 06/2023
