The party continues this summer at the Wine Bar we have another great line-up of wines for another Happy Hour style tasting. This is our more casual walk around events this week’s theme is summer Rose is the perfect wine for summertime but hey it’s summer year round here in South Florida!!
Tonight, we are going to try something new and let you our “Wine Drinking People tell us which wines you would like to taste and yes you can pick from the entire list below! (92 Points) The 2022 Tavel Cuvee des Lys appears a bit lighter in the glass than the Trinite bottling; the blend is 60% Grenache, 30% Clairette and 10% Syrah. Scents of crushed stone, citrus and strawberries appear on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is tighter and more structured, revealing an almost stony austerity that lingers through the long finish. Tasting Notes: The perfume fills up the nostrils. It smells good. Appetising. Bright cherry, sweet orange, raspberries. They are on the firm side, crunchy, fresh. Damp earth and violets lay underneath. Then chewy texture with wet clay tannins fills the mouth. It’s just pure cherry juice that makes for an excellent thirst quencher and I’m pretty sure it’s also good for your health.

A static settling is carried out for 24 hours. 100% in stainless steel tanks. The fruity nose leads to notes of fresh strawberries. The mouth is fluid and accompanied by a nice freshness. A very fruity rosé on the palate and greedy to drink when young.

Marsannay is the northernmost commune of the Côte d’Or, lying virtually on the outskirts of the city of Dijon, three miles north of Gevrey Chambertin. In 1987, Marsannay was granted its own A.O.C. appellation and became the first village for which the appellation applies to red, white and rosé wines. Grapes are destemmed and macerate a short time in order to get a light pink color. This wine stays then in stainless steel tanks before bottling. Domaine Clair-Daü was considered one of the great domaines (founded in 1919) of Burgundy. Domaine Louis Jadot acquired a substantial portion of the property in 1985, including vines in Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Gevrey – Chambertin Clos St. Jacques, and other choice parcels in the Côte de Nuits, including several in Marsannay.

From their idyllic hilltop perch in southern Tuscany, the Sesti family produces some of the finest Brunello di Montalcino out there. Call it a first-world problem, but you can’t drink only Brunello through the heat of summer. The necessity for a wine to be drunk cool during the warm months led the Sestis to create this rosato from Sangiovese otherwise destined to make Brunello (which they could sell for five times the price, by the way). It’s gentle and mouth-filling, perked up by a touch of salinity that recalls the oceanic vineyard soils—quite a sophisticated rosé that is nonetheless gay and carefree.

About Wayfarer WF2 Launched in 2021, Wayfarer WF2 wines are 100% estate, limited production, high quality and value driven. Inspired by the age-old question of what to open on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, WF2 wines are fresh, vibrant and richly textured.
Winemaking Notes The Pinot Noir grapes were hand-picked in the cool of the night and hand-sorted at the winery. Fermented in neutral French oak barrels, the wine then aged for three months before bottling. Vintage Notes 2021 brought another dry year and a vintage with great personality. We had our lowest rainfall on record, but thankfully the 21 inches of rain we received was enough to fill our pond (which is fed entirely by rainfall), and enabled us to give our vines a good start. A dry and mild spring gave way to a warm summer with three heat events, each lasting only a couple days. Even ripening led to 13 nights of harvest within 16 days. The fruit showed remarkable vibrancy, color and structure in 2021.
