A barrel sample, the 2018 Chardonnay Ellen Lane Estate opens wonderfully fragrant and spicy on the nose, with intense scents of guava, papaya and peaches plus accents of gingersnap, honeycomb, quince paste and dried mushroom. The palate is medium-bodied, intensely flavored but delicately styled with racy acidity and mineral streaks, finishing long, textured and nuanced.
