2019 Domaine Pierre Labet Beaune Clos du Dessus des Marconnets Blanc, Cote de Beaune, France

Situated above the premier cru Les Marconnets, Clos du Dessus des Marconnets Chardonnay parcels are on the lower part of the slope near the boundary of Savigny-les-Beaune. Most of the area is negocient-owned but as with all of Labet’s vines, these are estate-owned. The wine shows the richness of Meursault and the stony-mineral character of Pernand-Vergelesses. Wines from this under-promoted climat offer tremendous value and could easily be the darlings of sommeliers to recommend to enterprising consumers.
