2022 Queiron Graciano Ensayos Capitales PI Rioja

Fabulous wine from Queirón - owned by Bodegas Ontanon. Here they make very singular, small production wines such as this.  A fabulous varietal Graciano, for centuries a very important blending grape, due to it's perfume, natural dark color and acidity.  Here the team have picked the very best lots to make a modern styled Rioja with a nod to the past. 12 months in mostly second fill French and American oak.  Lovely bright plum with a hint of sour cherry and chocolate, big yet with very ripe tannins.
