Made in the village of Riparbella about 50 miles from the sea and this is a tiny producer, this blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, has a good amount of fresh earth, some of that underbrush and herbal notes sage, and a hint of the sea to the black cherry and currant berry fruit cigar box spice. A good amount of juicy fruit on the tonue cherry and currant berry with ripe round tannins and a nice fresh finish echoing the earth and spice notes from the nose through the finish.
