2007 Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Tintot

A wine that will give Beaucastel’s Hommage a Jacques Perrin cuvee a run for its money, the Mourvèdre-dominated 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape le Tintot is a powerhouse effort that offers incredible notes of beef blood, iodine, seaweed wrapper, smoked meats and layers of ripe fruit. About as full-bodied as they come, with a stacked mid-palate and building, sweet tannin, it’s still a baby and has some upside. (JD)   Review Date: 02/2017
