2016 Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg Grand Cru Echezeaux

Mugneret is a well-known name among winemakers in the Côte de Nuits, particularly in Vosne-Romanée, where it has existed for many generations. Florence Pichon, a biochemist, Jean-François Gandrey, himself a winegrower in Vosne-Romanée and Florent Lompré, by education a historian, who learned through experience the art of winemaking, together with Gérard and Pascal Mugneret, as well as Fabrice Vigot, excellent winemakers, share the long and meticulous year-round work of the vines. Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée make their wine in a gentle and classical style, thus preserving all the delicacy, fruit, and freshness of the grape, and allowing the most complete expression of each terroir. The relationship between the grape and the earth - "Pinot Noir Terroir" - is what makes for the richness and diversity of the Burgundy vineyards.
