2009 Ellman Family Vineyards Jemma Napa Valley Red MAGNUM

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from the same vineyard sources, Kian Tavakoli previously with Clos Du Val and Opus One. A good bit of fresh earth on the nose here with milk chocolate and fine herbs and currant cassis berry fruit. A good amount of currant and cassis berry fruit on the tongue with firm tannins, very well built with layers of dark currant berry fruit, toasty oak spice and balanced acidity, a bit tannic right now but has lots of everything else as well.
