2020 Marco Felluga Pinot Grigio Ruzziz Superiore Collio

This is another winery from a different region of Collio, the soils are sandstone, they vinify 15% in big oak and this is not a Pinot Grigio for beginners, a different style very big style with 14.5% alcohol. Fresh apple and pear like fruit on the nose with hints of white flowers and a good hand of minerality showing through the fruit. This wine is very rich with layers of ripe fruit, very well balanced with the alcohol level being quite high with tongue tingly mineral notes, nice intensity, the minerality giving the tongue the impression of effervescence through the finish.
