The 2012 vintage for Champagne was excellent despite the growing season throwing enough curve balls to make most producers nervous. The relatively warm winter moved into an extremely wet spring and both frost and a particularly vicious hailstorm devastated yields but the resulting wines have are very forward and seductive packed with fresh fruit and have lovely balance. This wine has a lovely bouquet of citrus and tree fruit lemon, green apple and pear fruit with notes of lightly toasted grain and a touch of chalk like minerality on the nose. A silky creamy mousse on the tongue with layers of fresh fruit, white flowers and tongue tingly minerality lengthening the finish with a light brioche toast note on the finish. Finish 45+ Excellent +
