Winery Notes: The Pol Roger Brut Rosé 1999 is made from about 65% Pinot Noir and about 35% Chardonnay from approximately 20 Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. Made in limited production, the Brut Rosé 1999 was aged for 7 years in Pol Roger's deep, cool cellars prior to release.
An intense golden pink color, the powerful, concentrated nose shows ripe wild strawberry and raspberry. The wine has a lively, refreshing and light character on the palate, with dried apricot and mint notes. A lifting acidity precedes a long finish, which bodes well for the wine's aging ability and its facility to pair with food.
