The 2022 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon unveils captivating aromas of ripe raspberries, warm nutmeg, and freshly brewed espresso. On the palate, it offers a lavish and velvety texture, revealing layers of dark chocolate, spiced cinnamon, cool mint, and delicate oak nuances that elegantly persist. This wine is both alluring and impeccably balanced, leaving a lasting impression of depth and refinement.
The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested from ten vineyards between September 8 and October 18th, with 78% of the blend sourced from our three estate vineyards in Rutherford and St. Helena. The remaining fruit comes from seven vineyards located in the heart of the valley floor, spanning the Oakville, St. Helena, and Calistoga appellations. These sites contribute richness, ripeness, and body, perfectly balancing the power and structure of the Rutherford fruit. Following harvest, the grapes underwent an extended maceration averaging 36 days before aging for 19 months in 31% new French oak barrels from Ermitage, Seguin Moreau, Saury, and Taransaud. The wine was bottled unfiltered in early September 2024
