2018 Mount Brave Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder

This is the old Chateau Potelle vineyard purchased in 2008 this wine is also made by Chris Carpenter. This wine has a lot of fresh earth, mineral quality to the bouquet, fresh plowed earth, fine herbs, black olive, dark currant and some graphite, pencil lead notes, nice complexity on the nose. Wow big and chewy on the tongue, this is the warmest vintage that they have in Napa and this wine shows s good amount of dark currant and cassis berry fruit with bitter chocolate and firm tannins.
