2012 Fortress Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma

This is a new wine along with Bootlegg, David Bowman redisgned the Stonestreet package and he put orin Swft together, Charlie Deportier is the winemaker here. This is a blend but mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a big bouquet of dark currant and black cherry fruit, cigar box spice and some fresh earth notes. A nicely balanced wine wtih a solid core of fruit, lovely balance with smooth tannins and a nice touch of that cigar box spice and loamy earth through the finish. Finish 40+ 5 Syrah 4 PV 3 Malbec and 3 CF, they use 50% new French oak and they purchase a bit of the fruit but msot of it is sestaet grown. Only 5000 cases produced Excellent
