From an amphitheater of vines planted at the crest of Spring Mountain, overlooking Napa Valley. This has delicious, classic Bordeaux aromas of fresh pencil shavings, cedar wood, graphite, mature leather and damp forest floor, alongside blackcurrant and dark plum. Lovely fine tannins and a fresh acidity. Long-term winemaker Chris Howell, a student of Emile Peynaud, brings consistent style and elegance to these iconic wines. (RS) Review Date: 09/2018
