2014 Alzinger Durnsteiner Riesling Reserve

Botrytis, altough present, has been held at bay and beneath shine aromas of pine forests, junipers, holly, chamomile, and candied anise. The palate is tightly coiled at first but unfolds with time in the glass to show a finely-grained minerality and notes of  star anise, verbena, and saline finish. Complex and compelling Riesling.
