2004 Claude Corbon Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru Avize image

Based in Avize, in the heart of the famous Côte des Blancs, this estate is a family-run "maison de Champagne". They are "récoltant-manipulants" and produce theirchampagnes with the grapes from our own vines. This cuvee is 100 % Chardonnay from Avize from 100% Grand Cru vineyards and is aged for 8 years on the lees.

Has a bit of a briny sea salt character limestone chalk like parmesian cheese, a very distinct bouquet with notes of hazelnuts very complex bouquet. Still a lot of big bubbles on the tongue with a slight metalic taste apples and peach like fruit very complex finish notes of that briny character to the finish. Finish 45 Excellent
