Looking around the store I found that we had a bottle of 1959 vintage Chateau Gressier Grand Poujeaux Moulis en Medoc, the 1959 vintage from Bordeaux was epic and probably my all-time favorite in terms of 50+ year old wines. So, I figured it’s time to do a little experiment to see just how a wine from a lesser-known producer and appellation is drinking today from this great vintage.
This tasting will focus on Bordeaux from the 1960’s and 1970’s, Bordeaux from these two decades are getting hard to find and the top wines are now uber expensive but you can find some great values in the off vintages. Like I always say we are doing scientific work with wine here and tonight we will drink some of the oldest wines we have in store from Bordeaux.
For those of you that can’t make the tasting I have included all the vintage Bordeaux pre- 1990 that we have in the store on this offering on SALE!
