Made from both Somona and Napa vineyards in Carneros, 40% is estate fruit, this is made with a malo that happens at the same time as the primary fermentation, this is done to shorten the time and there is not lees suspension or the heavy buttery notes, just a whiff of butter and a bit tighter wine with more minerality. Crisp green apple and lemon citrus fruit on the tongue with a nice touch of lightly toasted oak spice, wonderful freshness and just a note of that buttered toast and vanilla bean spice along with tongue tingly minerality through the finish.
