2009 Alvaro Palacios Finca Dofi Priorat

Black licorice spice and fresh plowed earth with that licorelle slate soils showing through, good richness still on the tongue with layers of fresh earth mineral and that slate like mineral, a very complex bouquet opening up quickly with a silky smooth palate and nice freshness still holding things together.  This wine is drinking at its peak right now and should be enjoyed soon if you have some but it has lovely balance and this could hold on for a few more years in your cellar if you like older wines.  Finish 40+  Excellent +
