2011 Tenuta Trinoro La Cupole Rosso Toscana IGT

Located in SE Tuscany bordering Lazio and Umbria, a bowl like valley, 600 meters above sea level planted in 1991. The Cupole is a blend of 66% cabernet franc, 20% merlot, 7% cabernet sauvignon and 7% petit verdot. A bell peppery spice to the black plum and cherry fruit on the nose along with an underbrush and herb like quality. Lovely spice and peppery note to the red cherry and plum like fruit with a nice freshness to the finish along with some brown spices and that bell pepper notes some toffee here as well.
