1995 Friggiali Brunello Di Montalcino Tuscany

This 1995 vintage is really drinking nice today, all the rough edges have been smoothed out by a few years in the bottle. Bright Bing cherry fruit on the nose with hints of mushroom, new leather and tar, very complex and intriguing. Red plum and cherry fruit on the tongue with a light note of dried herbs. Tannins have smoothed out but still showing good structure and plenty of ripe cherry fruit to keep the wine in balance. Finishes with a note of cola 40+. This Brunello should improve with 3-5 years of bottle age and will probably last for another decade in you cellar. EXCELLENT +
