2009 Leukadios Sainte Leocadie Rouge Minervois

Some would consider Minervois one of the great granc Crus of Languedoc, but since this area produces 1/3 of the wine made in France much of which is sold in bulk or distilled into pure alcohol, there are few wine aficionados that have ever tasted the great wines from this region. This wine is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvedre. This Rhone style blend has aromas of cherry, black pepper, fresh herbs and flowers, toasted almonds, coco and sage.
