2007 Bryant Family Cabernet Sauvignon Napa

(97 points) The star of this trio is the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (907 cases). Beautiful aromas of blueberry liqueur, blackberries, camphor, incense and acacia flowers is followed by a well-textured, full-bodied, stunningly opulent, voluptuous wine with plenty of structure lurking beneath the surface. Super-pure and intense, it is the strongest wine produced by Byrant over the last 4-5 years. It needs 3-4 years of cellaring and should keep for three decades. One of Napa Valley’s most beautiful vineyards is Don Bryant’s vineyard high on Pritchard Hill, just below Colgin and Tim Mondavi’s Continuum and not far from such other benchmark properties as Chappellet, Del Dotto and David Arthur. These are all 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, but the production rarely passes 1,000 cases, even in the most abundant vintages.
