Ed Sbragia Interview

Ed is a big teddy bear of a man and it is always good to see this legend of California winemaking. He is still attached by the hip to Beringer as the winemaker emeritus and he travels to the far east to promote the wines of this historic Napa Valley estate. Ed grew up in the valley Italian Swiss Colony both he and his dad, bought the old Lake Sonoma Winery. He has four vineyards and he buys 5 different Cabernet Sauvignons and a Chardonnay. Worked with the great Myron Nightemgale at Beringer since 1976, actively left in 2008. Family doctor still does house calls for his kids, two sons Adam is winemaker daughter is nurse and the youngest is Working on CPA.
