This is the oldest vines, everything over 100 years old in this cuvee, fermented in concrete and then aged for 16 months in new French oak. A big wine on the tongue with an array of exotic spices, dark berry liqueur, black licorice spice and pretty floral notes. A little monster with thick and chewy fruit on the tongue with mouth coating tannins and a long layered finish echoing the spice opening up very nicely on the second day a big wine but still has nice freshness at the end,, a very long and layered wine wtih at least 10+ years of aging potential.
