2016 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Spitfire Marlborough

Always delivering outstanding wines, the Growing Horizon Vineyard—located in the Central Wairau sub-region of Marlborough—was selected as the first single-vineyard vintage Spitfire since 2005. The vineyard is planted on alluvial loam soil allowing the vines to produce a big lush canopy, which actively grows during the season. These very rich soils result in super-healthy vines, which produce grapes with maximum flavour. The vines are relatively young and produce wines with great intensity.

A complex wine with ripe tropical fruit flavours balanced by herbaceousness, goosberry and crisp acidity. A superb reflection of Marlborough.

Food Pairings

A wine to suit full-flavoured seafood dishes such as pan-seared scallops or crayfish.
