A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah blend this area became DOCG with vintage 2011. The name refers to an ancient Roman grape varietal and now is the name of one of the vineyards the traditional marema horses on the label. This wine has a good amount of forward red berry fruit on the nose with notes of fresh earth and wild herbs, nice complexity. A very smooth and drinkable wine on the tongue with red berry fruit and that earth and herbs from the nose through the finish. Finish 30+ Very Good
