2010 Monteverro Toscana

A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 10% Petite Verdot, this is to the south of Bolgheri so the IGT Toscana is how this winery is labeld, the first vintage was 2008 so this project is brand new. A host of dark berry fruit, cherry, currant, plum and a host of toaty oak spice, dark coco, espresso, fresh ploweed black earth and an array of sweet herbs, this wine needs some time to open up, 2010 is a classic vintage producing wines of great structure and depth. A big and chewy wine on the tongue with layers of dark spices, earth and a very well endowed wine that needs some time but has all the right peices in place just needs time. Finish 50+ Most Excellent
