A more modern style aged in French oak barrels for 1 year and 2 years in the bottle, this wine has a good amount of dark cherry and currant berry fruit. The name refers to the castle in the village. Rich and chewy on the tongue with lots of dark and red berry fruit, has some firm tannins and a nice hand of acidity holding things together, this is a big and more international style wine and will make fans of California Cabernet lovers.
