Sylvain Bock Bascule

Tasting note The nose shows (dark) red fruit and spices. The mouthpiece is intense with floral tones (violets) and full of red fruit (currant, raspberry). Acids and minerality are important in mouth development. Meanwhile also some animated / earthy tones of game and mushrooms. A pure and lively wine with a pleasant tension. High drink-through factor, partly due to the low alcohol percentage. 2013 is the last harvest year of Bascule that has been produced. Unfortunately for Bock, the lease for this carignan vineyard was terminated. .
