2012 Fel Pinot Noir Anderson Valley

A blend of four top vineyard sites, there is a strong earthy component to the nose, light smoky game like notes and a stewed character to the fruit, strawberry jam. Michele Edwards, was the first winemaker from Colgin like Chris Tynan who is currently in charge, but they have had Michel Rolland involved from the beginning and Philipe Melka is no longer here. A more savory style of Pinot Noir ripe red berry fruit, with a nice spice and earth compont to the finish, nicely balanced some tannins here at the end. Finish 45+ Excellent
