Ciacci Piccolomini Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500ml) image

Our century old olive groves extend over roughly 40 hectares (98,94 acres). There are several varieties of olive tree: Leccino, Moraiolo, Olivastra and Frantoio, also known as Correggiolo. We use organic fertilizer and prune periodcally in order to obtain a healty crop. We pick by hand before the olives are completely ripe. This results is less oil of a much higher quality. Cold pressing further ensures axcellent quality and does not affect the nutritional value of the oil.

Colour: emerald green with golden tints.

Organoleptic characteristics: characterised by low acidity and a powerful structure this Extra Virgin Olive Oil is persistent and very aromatic with note of artichoke. The finale is hot, spicy with a bitterish aftertaste.

Service: oil should be stored far from sources of heat and light.

Food pairings: it suits every type of food. Excellent dressing for meat, fish, salade and soups.
