WINEMAKING

Handcrafted from our family’s vineyard, our Chardonnay is a fusion of style.

From numerous hand pickings throughout the ripening period, our winemakers produce three distinct Chardonnays that are later blended into a final wine just prior to bottling. From a crisp, fruit driven style fermented and aged in stainless steel, to a softer, more round French oak barrel fermented

Chardonnay, our Chardonnay captures the best qualities of each style.

2013 started off slow, but before we knew it, we had grapes! Whites came off the vine a few weeks early, setting the precedent for an unusual harvest. The reds were also on their own schedule, coming into the winery out of their usual order. Fortunately we had exceptional weather with warm days and cool nights to balance this uncommon season, so the fruit couldn’t have been any better

BARREL AGING: 57% barrel fermented, sur lees aged in 100% new French oak (40% Medium toast/60% Med+ toast)

-43% stainless steel fermented

-50% of the wine goes through Malolactic fermentation
