2015 Edge Cabernet Sauvignon Napa

Blend: 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc

Winemaking Notes: Ray Signorello and his winemaking team have crafted a luscious Alexander Valley Cabernet that drinks wonderfully. The wine spent 18 months in French oak barrels and will age gracefully over the next 5-8 years.

   The complex nose offers notes of black currant, cassis and brambleberry. Hints of baking spice and graphite combine with the layers of fruit to for an extremely balanced wine while the finish displays a bright acidity and rich yet focused tannins.

   Harvest Notes: The 2015 growing season started out with unseasonably warm temperatures in the late winter and early spring. This resulted in an early bud break and bloom. Colder temperatures in May (during the peak of bloom) caused uneven fruit set which ultimately resulted in much smaller crop in 2015, compared to both average yields and also the three abundant years that preceded it. vintage will be remembered for high quality but low yields.
