2016 Halter Ranch Ancestor paso Robles Adelaida Hills

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Malbec and 18% Petit Verdot, this wine has a big bouquet with lots of dark currant and black cherry liqueur, violets, dark licorice and dark chocolate, well endowed bouquet.  A big and chewy wine on the tongue with lots of ripe jammy fruit, dark spices, chocolate and tobacco spice and a long finish some tannins on the finish but nicely balance for the amount of rich jammy fruit here still a good amount of freshness.  Finish 50+    Most Excellent
